I have been reading through posts regarding South Africa, with the intention of visiting from the end November (20th-ish) to Christmas time. (exact dates to be confirmed due to work) I am a qualified as a BHPA Club Pilot, but due to work commitments and UK weather, have not flown since qualifying. I am looking for a sustained period of guided flying to improve my skills, gain experience and introduce flying in thermal conditions. My initial idea is to arrive at Cape town, for holiday and flying. Then rent a car and travel to Wilderness for more flying and the bungy jump. Travelling to Bulwer for more flying and depart back to the UK from Durban. Any advice for my trip would be greatly appreciated. Do you think the locations would present suitable flying for a beginner? How would you recommend splitting time between each location? Any must do's on route (or slightly off it, im especially looking forward to any vineyards)? I am going to inquire with Birdmen, Cloudbase and Wild Sky for guiding, as they seem to come well recommended.
I did not find the right solution from the internet.
